Monday, April 23rd, 2018

frost-on-coils

Air conditioning problems are quite common this time of year for obvious reasons. Our AC systems are put to the test each and every day as temperatures climb into the triple digits and beyond sometimes. Otherwise, an unexpected breakdown could leave you without proper air conditioning, and turn you home into an oven in the process.

rooftop-commercial-ACCommercial air conditioners are even more important than residential air conditioners in many ways. Most of us spend the bulk of our days as a business or retail space, after all, and if you’re either a business owner or an office manager, you know how important a comfortable environment is. Spotting a Breach or Leak in Your Ducts

Monday, July 3rd, 2017

duct-breach-repairCentralized heating and air conditioning systems rely on a series of ducts to carry cool air to the various corners of your home. They do the same job in the winter when it comes to hot air from your furnace. They do their jobs well in most cases, and because they’re usually hidden behind the walls or in the attic, they don’t often suffer damage. When they do, however – or even when age and wear-and-tear create leaks or breaches – then it can be very hard to spot the damage.

Can Ductless Air Conditioning Benefit You?

ductless-air-conditioning

Most homes in the area rely on central air conditioning, a dependable form of technology that does its job quickly and efficiently. The air is cooled in a single unit and then evenly distributed through your house with a series of ducts. It works quite well, but it’s not the only system out there, and depending upon your needs, your home might do better with an alternative model. In particular, ductless air conditioning systems provide a number of benefits that central air doesn’t, though it depends as always on the specifics of your home. Let’s take a closer look at how ductless air conditioning works.

3 Ways to Improve A/C Performance This Summer

Monday, April 24th, 2017

air-conditioning-efficiencyWhen summer hits in our neck of the woods, we can feel it: not only with high temperatures, but with mugginess and humidity that can turn your home into a swamp. Your air conditioner will likely need to perform every day for hours on end, and by default that means you’ll likely be paying higher air conditioning bill in the summer than you do in the spring or the fall. That reality can often obscure the fact that you’re paying more than you should, however. By taking steps to improve your A/C’s performance this summer, you can take a bite out of those high bills without sacrificing a cool and comfortable home.
